How to play the backgammon game

- Classic backgammon is a logic puzzle for two, played on a board of 24 triangles. These triangles are called points.
- Each player sits on the opposite sides of the board with 15 checkers, black or white.
- To start the backgammon game, players take turns and roll the dice. That’s why free backgammon is often called a dice game.
- In backgammon players move pieces based on the numbers rolled. For example, if you roll 2 and 5, you can move one piece 2 points and another one 5 points. Alternatively, you can move one piece 7 points.
- Once all of a player’s pieces are in his or her “home”, that player may begin removing pieces off of the board.
- A player wins the backgammon game once all of their pieces are removed from the board

Very predictable dice. [Update] After receiving your response, I'd like to give you more detailed feedback: what I mean in predictable is that there are certain moments in the game when the opponent receives dice based on game context and not the probability and I can predict what comes next. If it were random, the game would become interesting, but now it's easier to quit early, as the result is predefined in most cases. Also, there are some logical errors in >> gameplay

Hello David, thank you fort the feedback! We understand your concerns. The dice rolls in our app are always determined by a RNG. It's natural to notice certain patterns during gameplay; however, the nature of randomness means that sometimes sequences or patterns can emerge that seem non-random, but they are just part of the statistical probability.

There is such a bias in the dice rolling of this game, that it's painful. At least in Vegas you know they want to make money but I just get the motivation here. The number of moves remaining when no pieces have been taken runs uncharacteristically in favor of the automated player and if you have to take a piece because there's no option then you always lose yours the very next roll. Also the number of doubles you will roll versus your opponent just doesn't add up. Don't waste time!

Hi Ian, thanks for comment! We're sorry to hear you think the app cheats. Please allow us to clarify that dice rolls are random, and they're determined by the random number generator. It may seem that the bot gets "more favourable" rolls. In fact, it uses probability distributions to make more tactically advantageous moves.

Would be a fun game. Unfortunately they have it set up for the computer to win most of the times . after playing several games I have noticed the computer rolled double 3 or more times in a roll every game it also seems to roll the perfect combo on the Dice 90 % of the time. If you land on its disk it will roll the correct number for the only space open it can play almost every time. They if you are ahead you roll 2-1 or 3-2 I rolled 3-1 4 times in a row and it happens every game. Fix it.

Hi Herman, thanks for the review! We apologize for any frustration. Our game uses a random dice rolling system. While it may seem like the computer opponent gets more doubles, it's important to consider the law of large numbers. With a sufficient number of games played, the distribution of rolls should approximate the expected probabilities.
