InovSurveys Data Entry is a data collection/data entry tool that can be used to capture data into a predesigned form/questionnaire. The app is designed to capture a variety of variable/question types including Single Choice/Drop Down/Rating Scale, Multiple Choice, Integer, Decimal, Location (Latitudes and Longitudes), Images, Audio, Time, Date, Single Line Text, Multiple Line Text, Password, Telephone and Email. The app can be deployed to any type of field surveys including census, customer surveys, health surveys, economic surveys, opinion polls, dissertations, thesis, and undergraduate research projects.
To use the app, a user must first create an account so they can be an Account Administrator/be permitted by an Account Administrator to be part of their group at InovSurveys Platform. A new account can be created at https://console.inovsurveys.com/register while an ordinary user who is not an Account Administrator can be invited by the Account Admin via email to be part of their account and be given initial login credentials which can then be changed by the user. The form/questionnaire which is developed from the InovSurveys Platform can then be downloaded into the app through the download/Update Questionnaire Buttons. Forms/Questionnaires settings are configured from the InovSurveys Console where the form/questionnaire is designed.
The app can only be accessed if the user is given prior permissions by the Account Administrator, hence the app can only be used by Researchers/Data Collectors/Fieldworkers who collect data from various data sources including survey interviews or capturing data from paper into structured electronic format. The data can be collected even if there is no network coverage since the app has the capability to temporarily save captured data/interviews into phone/tablet internal storage media until network is restored on the gadget. Captured data/interviews which have been temporarily saved on device is automatically uploaded to server once network/internet is restored.
