This simple game is a drag-and-shoot. The objective is to destroy incoming viruses by dragging a vesicle (these red circles). An arrow indicates the direction where the vesicle goes. A vesicle is produced at the Golgi and takes time to grow and mature.
If a virus enters the cell, it will make a sound, and you will need to intercept it before it reaches the nucleus. This is not the case for the boss: if it touches the cell, it is GAME OVER.
There are a total of 3 cell types, each with their characteristics, for a total game time of roughly 10 min.
There are also a lot of simplified explanations about what is a virus, the structure of a cell, and three different cell types.
The game is made in Godot for the researcher's night 2023 at Jyvaskyla University.
