About Solitaire
Solitaire became well-known as Klondike in the late 19th century. The goal of this simple but challenging game is to move all the cards, in order from Ace to King, to the foundations.
The lower part of the game contains 7 piles.
When moving a card to a pile, it may be placed over another facing-up card, with a rank higher by one and from the opposite color.
For example, a 7 of hearts may be placed over an 8 of spades.
The Stock contains all the remaining undealt cards, tap it to deal one or three cards. Cards from the stock may be moved to a pile or to the foundation.
1 Card ModeIn this easier version of Solitaire, the stock deals one card on each tap. Most games are winnable in this mode, although some may still be a bit tricky.
3 Cards ModeA harder version of the classic game, three cards are dealt from the stock on each tap, and only the top one is accessible. The middle card will become accessible only when the top card is moved from the stock.
You can choose to play only solvable games, to guarantee that the game has a solution.
Vegas ModeIn Vegas mode, only one pass is allowed through the stock, when all the stock cards are dealt, they cannot be dealt again.
For each new game, 52 points are reduced from the total score, for every card that is moved to the foundation 5 points are awarded, so 11 cards are needed for a positive score in that game.
The score is cumulative, and points are carried over to the next game. Since most Vegas games are not solvable, the real challenge is to try and get as many points as possible in a series of games.
