About this app

Symphony is a WiFi enabled comfort platform that’s unsurpassed in its ease of use, features and capabilities. It provides detailed system feedback in real-time and the tools to control it. Symphony marries the Aurora controls of your WaterFurnace geothermal unit with the Aurora Weblink router, providing access to your equipment from practically anywhere. Symphony is cloud-based so there’s no software to install and provides control over your entire geothermal system - not just the thermostat as in other ‘smart thermostat’ systems.

Symphony allows you to:

• View and control your geothermal system’s operation from anywhere using a laptop, smart phone or tablet using an intuitive dashboard for quick access to your unit’s status, operation history, alert history, and energy usage.
• Remotely control temperatures and programs for up to 6 zones (requires the IntelliZone2 zoning system).
• Observe and track your unit’s energy use for the last 13 months.
• Provide equipment performance data to dealers for remote monitoring and diagnosis (Premium package required).
• Receive equipment alerts and service reminders (as well as your dealer) via email and texts (Premium package required).

Limited in what it can do. Power went out for a few hours. It was slow to come back online. It lost track of time and did not reset. It took me awhile to figure out that it was running the night time program at 1:30 PM. There is no option to reset the time on the app. I had to do that on the thermostat. I kind of thought a major plus of the app was to be able to control your furnace when you were not at home. Hope someone reads this and adds more functions to it.

Updating review. From 3 to 1 star. Often times I change temperature settings in the app but then realize the change didn't actually take effect. My 6 zone system requires me to swipe through each zone and change 1 by 1. The weblink hardware is terrible and cost $400 by itself (my thermostats + weblink cost like $2000 total and they suck compared to nest or ecobee). Auto mode forces 2 degrees between setpoints, so I can't say heat at 71 and cool to 72.

App controls the furnace reasonably well. A bit better than interacting the thermostat. The graphing functions for energy use are limited at best. Wish they'd hire some folks with modern webapp development experience - things could easily be improved. The app randomly loses the ability to visit the energy use section for days on end. For a device that is considered the "ultimate luxury in comfort" in the HVAC industry, you'd think their margin would allow them to spend a bit on the app.
