It's unfortunate you have to use this app to control the Neo HDMI 2.0. That hardware is fantastic, this app is trash. it looks like you are forced to accept settings, but they are actually just meant to be acknowledgements, so that's disconcerting. Then the settings themselves are not explained at all. Changing a setting would improve my experience with the hardware even more, but I only learned this by accident from a post on the Internet. Like Samsung, great hw, bad sw.

App is good and has some nice features and settings. Only gave it 3 stars because it took forever to exchange my defective HDMI box for a new one. It took a while to set up because it wasn't working then when finally set up the led strip would flicker constantly in one spot. If I change it to one solid color the led strips would fully light with no problem, but if I use the TV setting or any of the scene settings it would flicker top left corner.

Lol I don't know if I'm a technical genius or something because I installed the hardware and the app and both work perfect for me. I have the sync box hooked up with hdmi and the lights change perfectly with the picture on the TV. It changes very quickly and smoothly and the colors are in the right location compared with the colors on the screen.In fact I actually installed 2 sets of lights around the TV with one box going into the other then to the TV and all work perfectly. Better then Govee!
