About this app

Given an exposure (Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO), allows calculating equivalent exposures - set 2 new parameters (a combination of Aperture, Shutter and ISO) and the 3rd parameter is automatically calculated.

It is also possible to add up to 3 ND filters of up to 30 stops each to the calculations, handy for those long exposure photographs to blur water and clouds.

The app also includes a timer for exposures of 4 seconds or longer.

Main features:
 • calculates Shutter, Aperture or ISO
 • aperture range from f1.0 to f360
 • shutter range from 480s to 1/16,000s
 • ISO range from ISO 0.4 to ISO 3.2M
 • ND filter up to 30 stops, in 1, 1/2 or 1/3 stop increments
 • up to 3 stacked ND filters
 • ND filter modes: stop, density, ND number
 • bulb mode (up to 24h)
 • reverse filter search mode
 • ND filter calibration mode
 • timer for exposures of 4s or longer with alarm
 • night mode with 4 overlay colors
 • optional compensation wheel to account for reciprocity failure
 • unlimited number of presets
 • free and ad free
 • privacy - the app does not collect any personal data

Note: in the Shutter settings section there is a switch tor camera type. This switch simply selects how a small set of shutter speeds around 1 second are displayed, choose the one your camera adheres to. Exposure calculations work for all camera makes, this switch is simply for display purposes.

Great app. I fly drones and when I manually set frame rates and shutter speeds to 30fps and 1/60, I have to use ND filters. Instead of guessing how many stops are necessary for that particular exposure, I can bring along a camera where I can determine correct shutter speeds based on the histogram. Now, I can convert shutter speed to ND stops. No more guessing. I don't have to bring back the drone just to change ND filters. I can get it right first time out.

It's probably my lack of understanding, but I can not figure out how to display shutter speeds in excess of 1/80 or 1/60 (depending on the mode, EV in particular). I am presented with the display of 1/1... or 1/2... or some similar representation of shutter speed, which means I have to go back to the highest represented speed (1/80 or 1/60) and calculate in 1/3 increments how far I am from that speed to know the speed which is being displayed. Your thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your comment. Looks like your font settings trigger truncation of the values in the aperture/shutter/iso wheels. I can look into improving this in a future update. Edit: version 5.20.0 accounts for font settings so this should be addressed. Once in production, if you still have issues, please reach out via the About screen in the app.

I almost have it figured out. I went to the linked YouTube vid and every comment complains that there is no sound/explanation of what you are seeing. Could you either add sound or add instructions in the notes area of the video. Thanks.
