RareGuru Features:

Connect and share with safe and secure social networking.
Create a private or public profile sharing only the information you’re comfortable with. RareGuru matches you with other users who share a similar diagnosis or symptoms, and you can filter your matches based on location, age, gender, and user type. Connect only with the users you select and message them through private or group chats.

Multiple User Types. Many rare diseases are genetic, and several family members may have the same disease. Users can select to be a patient, caregiver, or both.

Rare Disease Database
RareGuru’s disease database contains 7,000 rare diseases and chronic illnesses and more than 21,000 symptoms. The disease database is regularly updated based on data from the United States Genetic and Rare Disease Information Center (GARD). Users who have a rare diagnosis that is not in the disease database earn a unicorn icon to indicate the rarity.

Symptom Tracker
Track symptoms and take notes to evaluate your condition. You can export data trends for sharing with doctors and specialists.

I downloaded this app after seeing someone else with my rare disease post about it on Instagram. I have already connected with several people who have my same diagnosis!! I also like how you match on diagnosis and symptoms so if you're searching for a diagnosis, you might be able to find clues as to what's going on through symptoms you match on with other people who have been diagnosed. Hoping this will be a game changer for me 🦓
