It works okay, the website is better. I don't understand why or how you can't download the files from the app directly - I've only found the ability to do so on the website. Even if I click on "download" I can see a list but it doesn't actually download to my phone. Will change my review to 5 stars upon instructions being given or if the bug is fixed in the app.

I have had scribd for a long time, since before it split. It's recent preforance is below par. when I open it, it usually just gives me a black screen or tells me something went wrong. To cancel the subscription you cannot do it from the app, but must log on, always a nagitive for mw. . When I enter the address in to the browser on my phone it automatically takes me to the app. So now I will need to find a laptop to cancel.

I really liked Scribd, and miss it. Access to public legal filings, contributions by investigative journalists, researchers, books, articles, is unsurpassed in the days of paywalls. But the subscription cost is quite high, and should you change cellular companies, phone numbers, emails, you'll have a helluva time getting back into your account - while being charged.
