The action takes place in an alternative version of the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. After the accident, laboratories were created in the Exclusion Zone that allowed scientists to experiment with psychic abilities. The zone is replete with anomalies - inexplicable phenomena that do not fit into the framework of physics, and sometimes even conventional logic.
