Crowd sourced video market place for news organizations seeking video from independent professionals, also known as "Stringers", hence the name of the app.

News channels or any other party interested in requesting footage of a particular event and/or location can place the requests on our web site. The footage requests are then broadcasted to our network of independent professionals who will decide to respond to the request, collect, and upload the video right from their own phone. If your video is used, you'll get paid.

I've been paid around six times now for B-roll, MOS, and press conference video. The app UX can be buggy esp for large/long event videos. It can be unclear which videos have been uploaded, processed, or bought. I wish they'd integrate with Dropbox api so they aren't reinventing the wheel. News requests are region dependent but you can always post your own including weather clips. Support staff are good.

Just received my first payment, so I'm now reviewing. Very happy with my experience. I've read many complaints about few assignments, I think you have to consider your area, some areas just aren't buying and putting out assignments, and that's on the part of the local media & market, not the app. Very easy to get in touch with support, but they seem very busy and it helps to be brief & clear with them as they often reply in short responses.

I've had this app for a while. No jobs in my area, but that's to be expected. Unfortunately the jobs I have taken, I have not gotten paid. I have went to the blogs to see specifically what is asked for as far as shots, even got a gimbal for the steadiest shot possible... Nothing. I want to like this app, but my experience has been horrible to say the least.
