Changing my review to a 4 star instead of a 1 star because over time it seems to get more accurate. It used to give me hard brake alerts for no reason and other weird things like that. The only thing is it gives you a bad score for phone use if you get out get out of your car immediately after parking and don't go on the app to "end trip". Also, city driving makes your score A LOT worse cause you have to deal with all the unexpected things the dumb drivers do.

Having the app forces me to be more mindful of my driving, however the algorithms implemented really suck with the smooth driving being the biggest failure. I really think that no matter how smooth I drive and whether or not your phone is on a cradle or laying there, it usually shows in the 60s. As for the phone use metric, i guess using gps and hand free hurts you too as well as apps running in the background. This should be fixed as well. I'd be happy to help you beta test and fix!

Smarttrek needs some big improvements. Smooth driving: I could never get a good score even with being very careful about breaking/accerlarating. My area is hilly, so breaking to slow down on hills blew this score away and if I didn't break I would be penalized for speeding. No matter how tightly I wedged my phone, it never helped. Phone habits: I never used my phone while driving but never could get 100% here and I realized that even after I was done driving this app thought I was still driving
