About this app

There’s no particular place like “Transformer Junction” in the entire world. You can search on Google Maps, ask ChatGPT, or check any international directory, and you won’t find it - yet it’s where many people live and do business.
We grew up using crazy landmarks like “Under the Mango Tree”, “Near the Tall Mast”, or “Beside the Big Gutter” - and while those work for locals, they don’t work for delivery companies, government services, or even for building a global digital economy.
That’s why we created YARDCODE - a new digital address system that doesn’t rely on long, complicated, or confusing street names. Instead, it gives every building, compound, or cluster a short, unique, machine-readable code.

In a world where accurate location identification is crucial for navigation, logistics, and security, traditional addressing systems often fall short.
We often rely heavily on landmarks to guide people to our homes, offices, or events:
"When you get to Amala bus-stop, you will see a woman selling roasted corn. Ask her for Godspower Church. Beside the church you will see an untarred road… don't take it. Instead, cross over the stream on the opposite side and head towards the mango tree."
Seriously? How can we run businesses like this? How can these individuals receive bank loans when their addresses aren’t verifiable?
When you buy a piece of land in a remote area, how do you pass it on to your grandson if there’s no street name or recognizable address?
Even in estates with proper street names, try using Google Maps. You might end up at House 21 when you’re looking for House 52. However, Google becomes accurate when given precise GPS coordinates. Even a basic compass can guide you correctly if fed accurate location data.
We clearly need a precise addressing system-one that is digital, intuitive, and not dependent on geopolitical conventions.

What is YardCode?
YardCode is an innovative geolocation system designed to provide precise, easy-to-use, and unique location codes that enhance navigation, business operations, and emergency response services. Whether you're an individual, business, government agency, or service provider, YardCode offers a seamless way to locate, register, and interact within your geographic space.
It converts GPS coordinates into unique alphanumeric codes, making locations easier to identify and share-far more efficient than traditional addresses.
YardCode provides accuracy down to 1 meter ideal for engineers, logistics teams, and emergency responders. It also defines a “yard” as a 100-meter radius geographic zone, giving flexible but precise location grouping.
An example Yardcode is JM14 W37 (mite), where:
mite changes every 1 meter
W37 changes every 100 meters
JM14 represents broader district transitions
YardCode Version 1 is available for Nigeria only. For other African countries and globally, we welcome partnerships. The technology is adaptable and easy to deploy worldwide.

How Does YardCode Work?
YardCode encodes geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) into a structured format. These codes can be used for:
1. Navigation: Enter a YardCode to get accurate directions on a map.
Delivery & Logistics: Ensure parcels are delivered precisely with location tracking.
2. Emergency Services: Help responders locate incidents faster and more accurately.
3. Business & Government Registration: Use YardCodes for legal registration and service provision.

Key Features of YardCode
1. YardCode Query System: Retrieve location data and directions using a code.
2. Interactive Map: View and navigate YardCode zones on a digital map.
3. User & Business Registration: Individuals and businesses can create profiles and register addresses.
4. Service Partner Registration: For logistics firms, security providers, and surveyors.
5. API Integration: Developers can embed YardCode functionality into their apps.
6. Legal & Compliance: Secure with strong data protection and clear usage policies.
