Irish Whistle Tabs is an open-source and ad-free tool to learn and improve your tin whistle skills. It features hundreds of traditional Celtic tunes (jigs, reels, polkas, ballads, etc.).

To play along, you can change the whistle key (high D by default) and the tempo. A delay can be added to get time to pick up the whistle.

This app is ad-free, fully offline and very lightweight (<3 Mo).

Wonderful app for people like me who have no musical talent. I just picked up my Irish whistle and I can turn the music as fast as I want to go and learn and play along with the app. And when I memorized it I'll be able to just play without the aid of the app. But also if your musically literate you can actually see the score and you can play that as well.

Having recently started playing the tin whistle, this app is almost exactly what I was looking for to learn some tunes. You can slow down playback to get used to a tune. The tab is clear. However I would like to see the following improvements: Have the delay start set by default (or an option to set this). Have some sense of timing in the tab, rather than the current series of tab marks with no gaps, note lengths, bars, lines (you can look at the score, but not the same time as the tab).

Helpful for learning and practicing new tunes. Would be nice if I could play the tune while looking at the score instead of only while looking at the fingerings. Would also be nice to put the tune on automatic repeat.
