This is the Associations App of the MFAS. Are you a member of the MFAS? Then this app makes all association information available on your smartphone and you are up to date on the latest developments within the association. Via this app you can, among other things, arrange your registration for events and you can order textbooks or summaries at a discount. Furthermore, you are always aware of the developments around the bar and other activities of the association! Today, the MFAS is one of the largest and most active study associations in Amsterdam, with 2500 members and 200 active members. The MFAS has its own bookshop, its own bar (the Epsteinbar), its own association magazine and more than 20 committees.
In the first place, the MFAS is engaged in providing services to its members, for example by offering textbooks and medical instruments at a very reduced rate in our MFAS book service.
Secondly, the MFAS is committed to maintaining and/or improving the quality of education and the MFAS also organizes additions to the curriculum, such as courses, debates and a large annual conference. The MFAS organizes an informative parents' day for the parents of first-year students, so that they too can become acquainted with their children's studies.
Last, but certainly not least, the MFAS provides fun and relaxation for its members. We organize fun, big parties in the cozy city center, every year a beautiful gala at a prime location in Amsterdam, a trip abroad (in the past, Istanbul, Lisbon and Budapest were our destinations), a sailing weekend, a first-year weekend and much, much more.
The MFAS is therefore literally for and by students: without these students there would be no MFAS. The MFAS hopes that through its activities, both in the field of education and services and in the field of relaxation, it will make a useful, but certainly also a pleasant contribution to the study time of the Medicine and MIK students.
