About this app

This tool is aimed at all AFOLs. Use it to calculate final ratio of up to 10 pairs of gears, then select the desired type and number of motors to see the theoretical output (speed and torque). Includes 15 sizes of gear wheels and 26 various types of motors! Also included: a planetary ratio calculator, gear coupler for finding available gear combinations at given axle spacing and Gearcyclopaedia featuring detailed info on 38 types of gears. NEW: Combinations finder tab where you can enter a desired gear ratio and the numbers of pairs of gears you want to use, and the app will calculate the solution (exact or the closest possible).

Works well on my old Note 8. I'm not a machinist or engineer or anything. I just thought I'd check it out. Assuming all the nbrs are correct, this app appears to do all the work for you so that you can build whatever it is that you want to build. No ads. For those who've seen my ratings b4 when I see no ads, then the optional question asked afterwards, "r8 ue experience for ads shown inside the app" will always be 5☆'s! 😁

Great for calculating complex gear trains. You can now choose gears from silhouette images. There is no easy way to remove a gear combination (yet) aside from setting it to "select" on both sides. Setting a gear combination back to ? : ? does not reset the gear ratio for that combination to 1:1 so it doesn't work as a way to remove a pair of gears

Very interesting. I'm going to start experimenting! Thank you, and thank you for not creating an app that snoops personal data. I have a suggestion for another app, I found yours looking for an app that apparently doesn't exist. What I was looking for is a pulley simulator. I bought snatch blocks, hooks, rope, etc, I just don't know how to arrange them effectively to get the most pulling power out of what I have. See SmarterEveryDay channel on YouTube "why snatch blocks are awesome."
