UFO Brest is an augmented reality application designed to read the fine print book: Marine passage.
This is a whole new experience of reading a paper book connected to an application for tablet and smartphone.

This highly original story takes place in Brest and we discover unusual places, fictional and real characters. The digital story will evolve over the months to changing places and additions of content offered by the community of readers.
The application gives life to the book with the AUGMENTED REALITY function. The reader can scan the visual paper book and displayed on the screen of the tablet or smartphone animations and videos that enrich the story.
The AUDIO BOOK function automatically trigger the story told and video animations associated with visual book.
The user interface is powerful and easy to use.
The book image scan triggers the animated sequence.
If you move the image, you are leaving the video and you can trigger another sequence.
The list of images and moving image areas is in using the application.
The application is very intuitive and the video sequences guide the reader in a new reading experience.
It can discover many environments and universe designed by the founding artists of the project.
It can interact and post comments by clicking on the "COMMUNITY".
The sea passage and the UFO Brest application are from a collaborative project bringing together a professor of Lycée Dupuy de Lome, Sylvie Beekandt, a start-up, bookBeo and a group of founding artists (one novelist Cecilia Huguenin, a photographer Mathieu Le Gall, illustrator, Gwendal Lemercier, 2 directors, Nicolas and Anne Hervoches Gouerou a motion designer, Maxime B'chir and actress Geneviève Robin).
The application is developed by bookBeo based on its expertise in augmented reality software and new digital uses in mobility.
