Buffl is a free learning app that helps you achieve your learning goals quickly and efficiently. You can create flashcards and multiple-choice questions on all devices,
But the most effective way is to use our editor in the WebApp on buffl.co. Our card format gives you all the freedom you know from common programs. Add unlimited images to your flashcards, highlight important parts in color and always get appealing flashcards. In the web app, you can also import content, such as vocabulary lists from a CSV file. You want to restructure your courses? No problem, in the WebApp you can copy or move entire card stacks or individual cards.

At Buffl we use a learning system that you probably already know: The learning box with 5 different boxes. The cards start in box 1 and move up one box each time you answer them correctly. If you answer a card incorrectly, it moves down one box. If you are in a hurry, Buffl also offers a speed mode, in which wrongly answered cards stay in the box and do not move down. If all flashcards and multiple choice questions are in box 5 you have reached the goal. The interface in learning mode is kept minimalistic so that you can fully concentrate on the content. With simple swipe gestures you mark whether you have answered a flashcard correctly or incorrectly. The entire app offers a light and dark mode.

Learn languages

Improve your vocabulary and learn words with Buffl. Add a picture and make your flashcards even more vivid. With multiple-choice cards you can also test your grammar and comprehension. Tip: In the web app, there is a list view in the editor, which is especially good for quickly entering a lot of vocabulary. If you already have a vocabulary list, you can simply import it.

School & Study

Buffl is the perfect helper for exam preparation at school or at university. Soon it's exam time and you don't know how to memorize everything? I'm a student who discovered Buffl a couple of years ago when learning a new language. It's incredibly easy to use and I especially like the learning modes where you can keep repeating just the words you're having trouble with until you get them. Also great that you can share your flashcards with a study buddy! I also use it for word lists we have to do for homework. When the instructor goes over them in class, Buffl lets me quickly highlight the ones I got wrong so I can give them extra review.

Great app with potential. Creating a card is slow (after writing on the front and back of the card, I would see the popup notification "creating card" that would be there for at least 12 seconds! before the adding process is finished.) Also, search function would be nice. The app is beautifully designed, please my eye, clean, and I love categorizing the cards set with courses. I want to use it but with creating cards being this slow, I'm not sure. Would like to give 5 stars in the future.

It's a great app, but it would be nice if you added an option so that you can add many cards at the same time (don't have to click the plus all the time and choose which type of card you wanna add). Just so it automatically adds another card after adding the previous one. But besides that, it's the best flash card app yet.
