About this app

Have you ever wanted to keep your device's screen on longer than your device display's default sleep timeout? Want to make your screen go to max brightness when you are using navigation or viewing your vacation photos? With Wakey, you can keep your screen on as long as you like.

Wakey keeps your screen lit on your terms. Make the screen fully bright, dim, or even completely dark while the phone is still awake and working. Wakey can also be set to keep your screen on when certain apps or games are active, when the device is charging, when connected to certain Bluetooth devices, or when you are looking at the device.

Enable Wakey manually with the big bulb right in the app at any time and tap it again to disable it. There's also a Quick-Setting Tile or a Widget to make toggling even more convenient. Set up Wakey just how you like it!

Wakey Premium (available as an in-app upgrade) has several features that will make your life even easier:

SmartWake Keep your screen awake while you are using the device.

AppWake Automatically keep your screen awake when certain apps are in the foreground. If you want to keep the screen on to see album art while music is playing or while playing games, this feature is great for you.

If you have limited dexterity, AppWake allows you to ensure the screen stays on while you use apps requiring extra time to navigate and allows the screen turn off quickly all other times.

Note: When the AppWake Accessibility Service is enabled, it monitors which apps are foreground on your device so it can enable Wakey as the configured. The Wakey accessibility service cannot see the contents of the window or anything that you type, nor can it listen to the microphone or use the camera. No data about your specific use of AppWake is collected or shared with anyone.

ChargeWake Automatically keep your screen awake when it's charging.

BtWake Keep your screen on when you have Bluetooth devices connected to the device.

Tasker Plugin You can use Tasker or Locale to customize Wakey more than ever! Set Wakey to react to whatever triggers Tasker supports. Night-time browsing? Set the screen to remain on & dim. Using nav during the day? Set the screen to full brightness. You now have more control than ever!

I began using this app after my upgrade to Android 10 on my Galaxy S10. The previous app, Stay Alive, stopped working reliably and I found out the hard way hasn't been updated in three years. This app works as expected once I figured out how to use it. It keeps my screen on when I use Spotify and am on a phone call. FYI if you have a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone, you need to go into AppWake Settings, enable "Show System Apps" in the three dots, then check the Call (com.samsung.android.incallui) app. The app does restart when the phone restarts.

I love this app and use it everyday. I had a minor issue at one point where on my Samsung S8 tablet the light bulb button didn't light up when the tab was (I think) sideways. I don't recall if I send in feedback or not, but either way, it was fixed within a week of me noticing it. The request for donating the amount you think the app is worth shows a lot of integrity on the part of the developer. I hope others have integrity as well and take the step to show how much they appreciate the app.

Very disappointed that this app would not work for me on my Samsung Galaxy A42 5G. Unfortunately, after trying many, many settings changes, I could never make this app work. I just want an app that will keep my phone screen on when I am making a phone call. I really thought this one would be perfect since the AppWake function would let me select which apps the screen would stay on for. There is also no widget that let's you know when Wakey is actively keeping the screen on.

Thank you for the feedback. Have you contacted me for help? There's a menu item for Help & Feedback in the app. I'm happy to discuss and if you need a refund, I'm happy to provide that as well. Also, there IS a widget available as well as a Quick Setting tile, and you can enable notifications on Wakey (via the OS) to show status in the status bar.

What's new
