About this app

Server download: https://github.com/theolizard/remote-numpad-server/releases

With Remote Numpad, you can add the convenience of a numeric keypad to your laptop.

You can use this numpad in 3 different ways.

Using the Bluetooth HID profile (experimental), you can use Remote Numpad with any Bluetooth-enabled device (Android P or more required).

Using the classic Bluetooth or TCP (Wi-Fi) connections, a server application needs to be running on the device. The server can be downloaded from "https://github.com/theolizard/remote-numpad-server/releases" where you will also find more information.

IMPORTANT: The classic Bluetoooth and TCP (Wi-Fi) connections WILL NOT WORK if the server is not running on the other device.

A tutorial video can be found at "https://youtu.be/xTfQparcgg4".

The project is open source and all contributions are welcome over at "https://github.com/theolizard/remote-numpad".

I like the app, but is there a potential for this to function as a homescreen widget on an android phone? Right now, the app has to be reconnected if you ever switch screens and that can be frustrating. The app definitely has potential, though, and when in use it does work pretty fluidly.

Missing some key features like a proper OLED dark mode, but otherwise very functional and seamless...... Except all of a sudden the Remote Numpad Server app just broke and says "Failed to launch JVM" and gives me no console or error code to try and figure out what went wrong. So now I just can't use this app that I depended on for productivity.

App is no joke. You want it to run and it just runs. I use that wifi connection and it is instantaneous. There is almost no latency. Works exactly how you want it to work. Great app. Great job. Really helpful. A real service to people this is. Thanks for this.
