Ratings and reviews

The design is excellent. I love being able to make and review flashcards, see the vocabulary words in context and conjugation, and listen to the stories. The variety of stories is pretty good as well. I'll note two small problems: first, sometimes the English translation is a little sloppy and inaccurate. In this case I am not always sure what is meant. Second, occasionallthe articles are somewhat poorly written and non-sequitur. Overall I prefer Readle to Duolingo because I can go faster.

Initially I was dismissive with the payments but the results are amazing. If you are serious about learning German you NEED to be able to read and enjoy what you're reading. No other application so far (and I have tried very many) is able to divide stories up along with your comprehensive level. Duolingo is able to do this with "stories" but it is very limited to a handful of lessons.

The quizzes seem pointless. I haven't done them much, maybe they get better. They usually are like fill in the blank so if you didn't even know what the sentence meant you would still be able to answer the questions correctly. Otherwise it's a pretty great app. The grammar tidbits are great and the selection articles are great. I think sometimes the definitions for words are a little funky or wrong but again, it's otherwise a great app. It's a little pricey for what is maybe but I don't mind
