Edited to 3, from 1, star. It, kinda, works. I have never gotten through a full episode of anything without having to close the app because it states there is no content, or 'something went wrong'. They have added some of the things that a regular player has. They should add in a 'skip intro' button when the intro starts. If they can fix the issues during playback, I'll give even a higher rating. But 2.5-3 is where I'm at.

Updating my review from 1 to 2 stars. The app's UI is hardly usable and struggles to track watched anime, with only 1 out of every 6 showing up in the previously watched list. It might remember the last episode you watched if you're lucky. The subtitles are a nightmare as well. The team makes mistakes in translation and instead of redoing the line of dialogue to fit the proper word, they just paste the properly translated word over the existing dialogue, making some entire lines unreadable

Have had a subscription for less than a month, will unsubscribe before next month renewal. Absolutely enjoyed the anime I've watched that aren't available on other services. 5 stars for that. But the search feature is blah and trying to pick up where you last watched is meh. Despite that, for the budget price I did consider keeping the service, IT IS A GREAT VALUE FOR FANS. But I buffer..and buffer.. and buffer watching with phone data. Don't know if that's a "me" problem or a Hidive problem.
