Ratings and reviews

Musicboard is a great app...when it works. The servers are frequently down, sometimes for long stretches of time, I'm not talking hours, I'm talking days. This has been going on long enough off and on that they're not getting any more chances from me. Considering some folks pay double the price of a Letterboxd membership for a Pro account, that's totally unacceptable. If you're looking for a Letterboxd for music, this ain't it.

Just installed and I'm really enjoying this app! Certainly nowhere near as good as Bandcamp, but I could see this being a good place for me to keep my music from various platforms (Spotify, Bandcamp, YT) all in one place. I'm really digging the community contributed vibe (like how you can submit tracks and artist/song/album info to be added). Actually, I'm just about to submit a contribution to the profile for the band Scarling. I also like writing reviews, and so far NO ADS AT ALL!

I enjoy this app, and the community has been very pleasant thus far. My only problems lie with the insane amounts of lag from prolonged usage. A few paragraphs into writing my review on the app, or just 5 minutes of scrolling and reading, will transform Musicboard from a dope experience to dial-up internet frustration. I write my reviews elsewhere and copy/paste them now, but it would be nice not to have to jump through hoops to use the app as intended.
