This app is beautiful, it's a shame the framework it is built on is such a failure. Constant issues logging information to the wrong users, inconsistent instructions on how to sign up / use the app, and a general lack of any actual connection between the membership information already existing in Scouts BSA makes this app worse than unusable. It may be the reason I leave scouting after over a decade of being a leader and encouraging others to do the same.

I never wanted to smash my phone using my own skull more than when I use anything remotely related to myscouting. The website loads (if at all) at a pace that of a snail. Text is cut off in some trainings, the interface is beyond broken, the list goes on. It's unfortunate that the only option for these types of trainings nowadays, which are required to do for certain events, are locked behind a broken mess.

I'm not sure who is doing the QA in this app, but it is clear it is not being tested well enough. The update in the past few days has completely broken the training section. It repeatedly tells me to use the latest browser (detection is obviously broken because I am using the latest). Scroll bars inside scroll bars. Non-mobile friendly fonts, menus, buttons, Etc etc etc I build systems and do this kind of things for a living. If you want a thorough QA analysis, please give me a call or email.
