I really enjoy learning, and this app was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Understanding root words really helps to identify words you may have never encountered before. The only reason I didn't give the app 4 stars is I think there's a BIG missed opportunity here. I would LOVE the addition of a "Root Word of the Day" notification! Please add that option to your app! I'd even pay more for that feature.

The idea is good but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired (by a somewhat sophisticated user) . For example you're not told if a root is Latin, Greek or what, and then very few sample words are given for some reason. Also the roots are often not parsed properly, including linking vowels for instance.

This app is pretty good for learning Etymology. I only wish we had the ability to know if we're looking at a prefix, suffix, or rootword during a quiz, or when looking at flashcards. Better categorization would be fantastic. Otherwise, I have no issues. 👍
