Used to be great. Now the app is garbage. Wont scroll, freezes, makes my phone hot as it gobbles up my battery, and is just unpleasant to navigate. I keep hoping they fix it but I fear the wait for an update is nowhere in sight.. 3 years later. It's pretty ok again.

The app loads fine on my phone and I can view the content but lately I'm having problems with scam websites opening in my web browser when I'm in the middle of viewing content. I don't know if there is a bug causing pop ups or what. My antivirus software seems to think that this app is clean but I will be looking at memes and then all of a sudden my web browser opens with a scam website. It is only happening with this app, no other apps I use lately.

The chive is an amazing community to have been part of for several years now, and it's grown quite a lot. However, The older app version was better. The new one seems weird, is harder to control touch features, and I have no idea when a gallery will end. Opening the sub functions require me to hold the screen, but if I hold for too little a time, something else happens. Oh, and it still crashes
