2nd try with this app a year later. Tried to search for availability of a special buy by copying the product name. Apparently the advertised name is incorrect. Will delete and try again next year to see if there is an improvement. It's now May 2024: Stock availability is still hit and miss. Mostly can't load the page. Sometimes I fluke it and there it is, but have learned not to hold my breath. Reminders also don't work. What does the app functionality say about the quality of the product?

Looking at the current catalogue just sends you to their website, saving things from the catalogue in your shopping list doesn't transfer to the in-app shopping list. No way to look at their regular product selection (groceries) to save to shopping list. Pretty much a useless app right now unless you know the current prices by heart so you can add them to the list manually.

Ultimately pointless. The shopping list function is identical to any note-taking app. You can't search products to add to your list or even just view them. Frustrating because you also cant search on the website. I really want to switch to Aldi because it's cheaper. But from a practical standpoint, I'd rather save the time and pay more at Woolies for the convenience of being able to plan ahead. I don't have time to spend half an hour looking for something, not even knowing if they sell it.
