About this app

The purpose of the application is to present the plants and events of the Botanical Garden of the University of Szeged. Provides a comprehensive insight into the most important plants here, organized into various associations and collections - as they are in the garden. In addition to the illustrated materials that are illustrated with sophisticated photos, you can also find out:

- what kind of programs are waiting for the visitors of the SZTE Füvészkert
- who founded it and how it became one of the country's largest botanical gardens.

The Botanical Garden of the University of Szeged is about 20kh in size, to help you navigate the map in the 'Walk' menu. Each walkstand displays a collection of plants and associations in a few sentences, including audio material. You can read the read text by clicking on the walk station name.

The SZTE Füvészkert is waiting for visitors with a number of programs all year round. It is advisable to regularly update the application, as new and new events are constantly on the menu.

Within the application, you can find the plants in alphabetical order or grouped separately such as annual plants, arboretum plants, live fossils, dyestuffs, fiber and nutritive plants, herbal and spice plants, lotus pond plants, rock garden collections and greenhouse plants.

In the 'Information' menu of the main menu, we collected the most important public interest information about the garden, so you can find out about opening hours, ticket prices and contact details of the institution.

In the 'About us' menu you can get acquainted with the history of the garden, the foundation, the structure of the garden, the planting and care of the plants from 1922 up to the present day. In addition, it presents the main activities of the SZTE Füvészkert, which is considered by the institution as a priority for collecting, but as a university unit, education and research, and dissemination of knowledge.
