I really like these apps. I've been using the first two for over a year, but one of my favorite features from them doesn't work on this one. I absolutely love being able to save the stamps to my phone to practice as flashcards later. I feel like I'm accomplishing a lot when I get rewards, but on this one I don't get those rewards. They show up on reward state, but I don't get to save them to my phone, which makes me sad. I would give five stars If that feature worked. The app is great otherwise.

The kanji catch game (the best thing in the ap) doesn't work. Tapping the screen does nothing at all so I always score 0. Great idea. Should be fun. It's quite disappointing. Also the sound feature failed on day 2.

Thank you Japan Foundation for these supplemental apps for Marugoto. We are excited for the release of 4 and 5. As for Japanese learners using other books or for self-study, these apps are good reference as well, and are quite a nice practice if you have some spare time to play with your device.
