About this app

Get current and precise weather conditions (METAR) as well as weather forecasts (TAF), which are used by pilots for their flight preparations. You can choose worldwide airport weather stations from the built-in database by either name, ICAO or IATA code. Data will be shown in its original format or fully decoded into easy understandable texts.

** NOTE: in order to display temperatures in Fahrenheit, switch off "Show original units"!

Ratings and reviews

Even with the latest update this app is full of bugs. Many airports get TAFs for all the other airports in that group presented. In many cases the TAF and runway wind data disappears as soon as you open the airport. In addition, many airports have incorrect data such as runway length or paired runways. Eg 08L with 08R as the opposite end, instead of 26R. Despite reporting these bugs to the developers they seem to make no effort to rectify.

This app is normally First Class. As an airline pilot I have used this app for years for additional information. 17th October 2023 - The app is NOT WORKING. Every airport shows as expired and trying to update it does not obtain any information. The bar along the bottom shows as updated, but no new information is loaded. It still shows expired. I checked it on another phone and the situation is the same. This is on both Android phones. Have the owners discontonued this app?

The App stopped working suddenly so I tried to reinstall and reset with no success. It will not update the airports. I thought the App will be left behind as Sky MET (also from Sparkling Apps) which stopped working suddenly and the team couldn't be contacted by email. As I needed a weather App I had to install and buy Aeroweather from Lakehorn Apps which is very similar to Pilot Weather to become to know that the later started working again days later.
