At least make the original available! This isn't an update, it's an entirely new game and has no business replacing the original. The new controls are terrible, I liked the original specifically because it didn't use drag controls. There's barely any platforming now, it's allll about the basic shooter combat and selling you micro transactions for armor upgrades. Basically, it's every other cheap cash grab mobile game now.
Dear Grace Dixon,
We would like to express our gratitude for your comment. Your feedback has been duly passed along to the team. We're eagerly anticipating the release of the new version, which will reflect the improvements based on valuable inputs like yours.
Have a lovely day!

Finding myself agreeing with a few others that have spoken. I kept Skydancer as a laid back and mediatative experience. I was shocked to get updated to skydancer 2 and suddenly have flashy combat, a joystick that was much more difficult for fine control and a focus more on combat and less on simple running. I would have preferred Skydancer2 be released as a separate game rather than as an upgrade with no choice =/. This needs optimized to not overheat the phone as well.

I like this version as it. If the developers wanted to, they could make a very large game or games with epic fps, Maps, worlds, music, characters, quests, missions, cosmetics collectibles, etc. They could keep this game as the retro version, and go big, or they could make more than one mobile game solely for mobile gaming. I love how there's more than one fitting character. I enjoy the music. This game as is, is fantastic. Even the twinkling stars are a very nice touch. Thanks for the tutorial!
