DESCRIPTION

Ford DashCam is your user-friendly mobile application for the Ford connected onboard camera. Control your dashcam via Bluetooth, by vocal or touch screen commands of the car Infotainment Sync3. Manage and share with friends your recordings and photos, or start live streaming, through Wi-Fi connection.
The dashcam is available in Ford eShops in Germany and the UK – specialist fitment requirement – and also at all European Ford Dealers.

In case of a car crash or other event, up to 1 min before event and 5 min after, automatically video file is protected from overwriting by event command through voice command, mobile app, infotainment touch screen or the dedicated device’s button.

• SECURITY
While car is parked, if shock detected and car hits, it starts to recording automatically (programmable feature).

Adjust the Ford DashCam settings (e.g. video resolution, GPS enabling/disabling, Wi-Fi, etc.).

Ratings and reviews

Installed by manufacturer on a Puma 2023. The app itself works well. A bit slow but maybe that's my network's fault. The issue I'm having is that it keeps forgetting the dashcam itself. I have to manually set up the connection like I did the first time about once/twice a week. My phone remembers the dashcam but the app doesn't. Weirdest thing. Edit: added one star because the support team is great. They deserve some recognition as well

Poor. I can only see videos etc when in car , it wont connect when away from car. So in other words if car gets stolen I cant access a single thing as I cant view clips due to no connectivity via bluetooth or to files. I have phoned , I have emailed and they are only interested in where and when I bought it although this was included in my email ie just bought and fitted by Ford.

Installed on Ford Focus 2020, with Sync 3 updated to latest version. The camera/app combination works almost fine, but there are some issues: - there is no sound in the recordings. Is this normal or is this an installation issue? - the voice integration is not working. In the manual there is mentioned that the camera reacts to voice commands, like EVENT, etc. This is not true. Again, is it possible that it's an installation issue?
