About this app

**New version (with extra content, features and different voices)**.
Explore and learn phonics words and sounds via an intuitive and colorful touchscreen interface!
Useful for EFL English students and young native English speakers alike!

• Over 425 words and 140 phoneme targets available to practice and learn!
• Each phoneme target has three high frequency word examples.
• Four levels graded by difficulty (Aqua, Green, Orange, Purple).
• Set voice to male, or female.
• Useful on its own, or alongside bestselling AGO Phonics card games (first or second edition), to reference the pronunciation of words on the cards.
• Great for classroom and home use!
• Aqua level is completely free. Upgrade to access all features of the other three levels, and one super sound board, containing all 140 targets (over 425 vocab items total)!
• AGO Q&A Aqua sound pad is also included free. (includes 36 simple Q&A questions and 200 vocab items to practice).
Content matches the bestselling AGO Phonics card games series, making its content quick and easy to reference. For EFL / ELT learners, the app offers an easy way to quickly reference and hear unknown words pronounced by native speakers (which can otherwise be difficult for students to do outside the classroom).
Parents and adult students with a lack of confidence in their own English pronunciation can also benefit from using this app and AGO cards as a way to learn the sounds of English.
The AGO Phonics sound pad goes far beyond the ABC's - over four levels, over 140 of the most common phonemes and word families used in the English language are covered- including consonant blends, digraphs, r controlled vowels, diphthongs, long vowel sounds, silent letters and more!

I think the sounds are voiced very nicely and clearly. Male and female is nice, but I guess accents would be even better perhaps. I noted a review where they imply that it was all voiced incorrectly, because sounds aren't always spoken in isolation, but... I disagree. You can't just make some sounds in isolation in some cases, nor is it done that way. The sounds are read in the correct way, I believe (experienced children's English teacher). And, in phonics there is some variation anyway.

"au" sounds out "ore" incorrectly, please fix! I would like to let my preschooler practice on his own but I don't want him learning an incorrect phonic. Otherwise this app is a very handy tool for referencing when teaching him.

I love the idea of this app but many of the letters are being pronounced incorrectly. Literally too many to list. You are putting /uh/ sound on many of the letters. This is not correct and very confusing. Parents please don't use this app until this is corrected.
