About this app

This app accompanies the books "I Segreti degli Orologi Solari" and "Solar Cookers", by Nicola Ulivieri. The app also contains links to some online articles by the same author which allow you to understand the data calculated and indicated by the app.
The main page allows you to view data relating to the Sun based on the place and time chosen.
The compass allows you to view the sunrise, sunset and current position of the Sun on the horizon.
With the "nerd data" selector, other particular data are shown such as the Equation of Time and declination of the Sun for the chosen day and more.
The Time and Date sliders allow you to instantly change the time and day for calculations and see the effects on the data and in the compass.
The Lab section allows you to identify the local meridian with the method described in the book "I Segreti degli Orologi Solari".
