About this app
Only Bitcoin is Norway's simplest app for buying and selling bitcoin. We are registered as a provider of exchange and storage services for virtual currency with the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority.
The app is packed with features that make investing in bitcoin easy, engaging and fun. Among other things, you can:
- Create as many sub-accounts as you want. How about one for each of your children for the future?
- Share read access to your sub-accounts with others. There are no restrictions on who you can share with.
- Invest in bitcoin automatically, and for free. There are no fees on autosaving bitcoin.
- A separate tab to learn about bitcoin. We address common bitcoin myths, how the platform itself fits together, and simply investing.
- Buy bitcoin at one of Norway's lowest prices. We can offer that because we have a simple app. Behind the scenes, it's cheaper to only support bitcoin, and you benefit from those benefits.
- You get the same rate if you trade for NOK 100 and NOK 1,000,000. No extra spread. You can think of it as a quantity discount.
Other benefits you get from using Bare Bitcoin:
- Privacy is something we are very concerned about. We use as few third parties as possible and do not share any of your data with third parties. Not even your email. We use protonmail behind the scenes, and even that communication is only visible to us. In addition, all critical infrastructure for handling bitcoin and customer data is built and operated by us. We are not dependent on third parties, and have full control over how the systems work.
- Client funds are kept offline in geographically separated cold storage, and multiple signatures are required to authorize a transaction. We never lend your bitcoins. Your bitcoins are your bitcoins.
