found this while wanting to replay Gurk, which looks like it's no longer available. It's a bit short but a fun few hours nevertheless. Nice new features are the map, the journal, the codex, and reconfiguring your party with recruits. One minor issue I had is sometimes while walking around a dialogue pops up, and since I wasn't expecting a dialogue I tapped through it without reading it, and there doesn't seem to be any way to open it again.

Hi Mike, thank you for the thoughtful review — I’m glad the game gave you some fun hours! I think I know what you mean about the dialogues. It’s probably connected to random combat encounters also using the same button to start. I’ll see if I can find a good way to improve that. Regards, Adam

Graphics a little poor, I guess it's an attempt to mimic commodore 64 but since this a Gurk clone I'd rather they're on a par with the original. I've played a couple of hours, not out of the starting location yet. The crypt is a grind, I'm not a fan of having to go back and forth over the same ground to try and level up on randoms because the set encounters are far too challenging. Promising, would definitely be popular amongst 8bit RPG fans but only if balance tweaked and graphics improved

Hello Mike, thanks for the feedback! Sorry to hear that neither graphics nor gameplay met your expectations. It's a short game with few locations, and less enemy variety. I would suggest Bylina, but having the same visuals, I guess it's not your cup of tea either. Do you have readability issues, or just not like the aesthetics? Best Regards, Adam

I am just so happy that there are other games like Gurk! With my busy lifestyle, simple games like this are the only way I can enjoy RPGs, because I can play them for 5 minutes at a time and still enjoy it and have a sense of progression. The first dungeon is too hard to be completed in a single expedition, but no complaints there. I like grinding 😄. I like the style of the graphics, but I wish they were more easily readable. I'll for sure buy the second game once I finish this one.

Hello Ivaylo, thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! I wish there were more gurklikes around, they are perfect for casual RPGing. Do the readability issues here affect the gameplay as well? If you ever have any more feedback or questions as you continue your journey, please don't hesitate to reach out. Best regards, Adam
