In order to remind Muslims of the dangers of tasyabbuh with the kuffar, Syaikhul Islam Ibn Taimiyyah specifically wrote his golden ink, and the result is a spectacular book that has always been the topic of study throughout the ages. The book 'Iqtidha'us Shirathil Mustaqiem Mukhalafaii Ashhabil fahim" is his work which specifically discusses the above issues.
Apart from the tasyabbuh problem, he also reminded Muslims to be aware of bid'ah and its varieties, whether in the form of 'Itiqadiyyah or amaliah. These heresies were widely spread by the Qabrriyyun, (grave worshippers) and Shifiyyun (Sufi practitioners) and various other sects.
The nature of al-ghuluw (exaggeration) towards the prophet, his qubum, his legacies or his verse experts, is also an important matter that does not escape his attention. In short, this book really deserves to be used as a reference for religious issues, given the density and breadth of issues discussed in it.
