Ratings and reviews

This is the worst DIY security suite I have ever used. The app is OK, but subpar compared to other platforms. The hub is a decent piece of technology, but paired with the app it's just OK. The doorbell is absolute garbage; not only does it barely work as a doorbell but I tracked it for a year on my mesh network and the camera was unavailable over 67% of the time. They gave me premium for a year and it was still not worth it. Only good part is their support, which is a great group of people.

This system has been problematic for the majority of the time I've owned it. I've had my hub replaced twice due to faulty battery switches. the hub camera has literally never worked. And the app widgets are constantly failing to sync or display information entirely. For a product thats been around this long, I'd expect most of these kinks to have been worked out by now. This is the reason I have never paid them a subscription. If the basic service sucks, why should I trust you?

The app is clean and simple to use. Cue automations have made it where I don't use IFTTT anymore which is great. I don't know what's happening in the last few days, but battery usage has gone way up. I'm not running the widget at all, but I am using the location features to auto arm and disarm the system. Never had any battery issues before but now it's crushing my phone and is the top burner of battery. This is on a Samsung Note 8. Abode, fix your app please!
