VERBUM is a re/habilitative mobile application that includes comprehensive language therapy exercises and cognitive exercises prepared by speech and language therapists who are experts in their fields. It was developed to support receptive and expressive language.
VERBUM has language therapy exercises designed to work individually or with a professional. Through this application, speech and language therapists can both work with their clients in the session and give exercises that clients can complete/do at home to reinforce the work done.
The exercises in VERBUM are designed to be used while working towards goals such as understanding language, expanding vocabulary, and improving cognitive and memory skills. These exercises can be used to support language and speech in individuals diagnosed with neurodegenerative cognitive disorders such as aphasia or dementia after stroke and brain injury. In addition to this, VERBUM can be supportive in understanding and expressing language in childhood language disorders, in special learning difficulties, in phonological awareness and phonological development with fun activities.
