Learn a language in a real way, step by step
Learning a new language is neither fast nor easy: it requires consistency, practice, and an effective methodology. eLang doesn’t promise magic formulas, but it does offer a comprehensive approach backed by research in language acquisition, based on Spaced Repetition.
With a database of over 3,000 words and expressions, eLang helps you build a solid foundation. You’ll study and take exams at carefully scheduled intervals, ensuring long-term retention and measurable progress.
How does it work?
Each study session includes 10 lessons, which you can complete whenever you want. Each lesson contains:
• The expression to study
• A contextual example of usage
• Relevant notes to better understand its meaning
You can also listen to the pronunciation of each expression and example.
If you’re subscribed, you’ll enjoy a clear, natural voice.
If not, voice quality depends on your device. But don’t worry: you can earn “Gems” to unlock the natural voice, either by purchasing them or watching ads. Your choice!
After studying… comes the challenge
Once the session is over, you’ll take an exam on what you’ve learned.
You can choose from three assessment modes:
• Writing the expression
• Reconstruction (assemble the expression from fragments)
• Pronunciation
Based on your performance and the type of exam, eLang assigns a score to each expression and calculates when you should be tested again, following the logic of Spaced Repetition.
An expression is considered “Learned” when it reaches 20 points, and you won’t be tested on it again. But it’s not that easy: points are calculated based on your accuracy, exam mode, and mistakes (like incorrect characters in writing).
Real learning, with real memory
Suppose today you study a word and answer it correctly in the exam: you earn 5 points. Since it’s fresh, it’s normal to remember it. The next exam will be in two days.
At that time, there’s no lesson—only a mandatory exam.
If you get it right again, you earn 10 more points and the next exam is in one week.
If you fail, you’ll study the expression again and retake the exam immediately—but with a penalty, for example, -3 points.
So you’ll move forward and backward with each word until you truly learn it.
This system reinforces long-term memory and prevents you from forgetting what you’ve learned.
With eLang, every step matters.
No rush, no shortcuts. Just real results.
