About this app

In this app you will find up-to-date information about around 500 of Sweden's working life museums. A working life museum is exactly what it sounds like – a museum where you get to experience what working life was like in the past.

Here you encounter the cultural heritage of the industrial society with all your senses, on the spot where history once unfolded. It can be a mine, a working environment, a mill, a factory...the list is long! There are also many moving museums of working life: for example, a vintage aircraft, a museum railway or a historic steamship that is still chugging along today.

In the app, the museums are presented with pictures, opening times and other visitor information. Using the map, you can easily find the gold nuggets where you are. Do you want to search for museums with children's activities, accommodation or a café? Or maybe you want to geek out on a certain topic? No problem! In the app, you can easily filter on different categories or free text.

Many of our biggest and most popular destinations are included here, but you are guaranteed to also find hidden donut places and new favourites. What will be your next excursion?

Behind the Museiguide Arbetslivsmuseums app are the Working Life Museums' Cooperative Council (ArbetSam) and the Arbetets museum, both of which work to support, elevate and make Sweden's working life museums visible.
