New Testament with Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Songs is translated from Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic texts by Dr. Brian Simmons. Dr. Brian Simmons is known as a passionate lover of God.
After a dramatic conversion to Christ, Brian knew that God was calling him to go to the unreached people of the world and present the gospel of God’s grace to all who would listen. With his wife, Candice, and their three children, he spent nearly eight years in the tropical rain forest of the Darien Province of Panama as a church planter, translator, and consultant. Brian was involved in the Paya-Kuna New Testament translation project.
He studied linguistics and Bible translation principles with New Tribes Mission. After their ministry in the jungle, Brian was instrumental in planting a thriving church in New England (USA) and now travels full-time as a speaker and Bible teacher. He has been happily married to Candice since 1971 and boasts regularly of his three children and eight grandchildren. The message of God’s story is timeless; the Word of God doesn’t change. But the methods by which that story is communicated should be timely; the vessels that steward God’s Word can and should change. One of those timely methods is Bible translation. Bible translations are both a gift and a problem. They give us the words God spoke through his servants, but words can be poor containers for revelation because they leak! The meanings of words change from one generation to the next. Meaning is influenced by culture, background, and many other details. Just imagine how differently the Hebrew authors of the Old Testament saw the world three thousand years ago from the way we see it today! Characteristics of the application The application is easy to use and allows you to listen and read the sacred scriptures quickly and easily, without the need of an internet connection. You can pause the playback of the chapter and listen to it where you left it again and choose the verse wherever you start when reading. The audio playback performed by the application is using the Voice Synthesizer that contains the cellular device or tablet. If the device does not support this functionality, the program will indicate it. Access to the options menu quickly and sensibly. Option to change the text size. Change of reading background of the book. Access to favorite chapters and verses. Search for words in books, chapters and verses. Night mode to facilitate reading and decrease the light of the screen. Notification Daily a verse. You can click on the screen and the lower part will show the name of the book and the chapter, when pressed, the list of books will appear and in the other the chapters that the selected book has. You can select one or several verses of a chapter and mark as a favorite you can also share with your friends the verses in the different social networks. By clicking on the favorite clip, you will see the verses that you marked for quick access. The Search menu will allow you to place a word in a text field and search the entire bible, in the old or new testament. If you specify the search range it may take less time to find matches, but if you select the whole bible it will take longer to Find the results. The configuration will allow you to change the size of the letters and the reading mode (Night and day).

Wow what's an excellent find; this Bible is outstanding with its different features easy to use while on the go. I like this translation. When going the details before downloading you listed all the old testament books from Genesis to Malachi there like it's a complete Bible, but after I downloaded it I discovered it was not so. It was only the new testament with three books from the old testament Am I being deceived or something went wrong? Thanks.
