Brand new Broil King Pellet 400 and the app won't connect to Wifi or let me skip that option. Contacted support and was told to try an iPhone. Was also given an excuse that "some phones and tablets are not good at transferring large data packages. We’ve noticed issues with almost all companies other than iPhones." If you aren't going to support the app, why have one at all?

Could be so much better. First, you have to keep opening the app to check temperatures. Make it so it will run in the background and notify you at certain stages. Second, when you open the app you need to click on the device and it has to load the temperatures. It should just display when opened since it shows null temps anyway. Third, the app will not stay open if you leave it for more than 30 seconds. There's more, but the creators should pay me for this free advice I'm giving them.

The old app worked great on my Regal 500 pellet grill...until now. It refuses to connect so I tried this one. Connects just fine but it really only acts like a view into what your grill is doing. If you try changing temps on the app, and then let the phone sleep or move to a different app, the temps go back to what it was before...that absolutely sucks. This is also true for setting temp alerts...they just completely disappear. C'mon BroilKing...SMH
