About this app
SuRA โ an educational mobile app that facilitates learning for Fisheries graduates across India. It supports 9 basic domain of fisheries science in objective forms for lucid idea and knowledge. An innovative, open access and free mobile application created for the welfare of students pursuing Fisheries Science for successful preparation of ICAR-JRF, SRF and All Indian PhD Entrance examination. It includes basic domains; like Aquaculture, Fisheries Resource Management, Aquatic Animal Health Management, Aquatic Environment Management, Fish Processing Technology, Fisheries Engineering and Post Harvest Management, Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics, Fisheries Genetics and Biotechnology & Fisheries Updates. These points to remember of each course are prepared from various books, internet open sources and reports of fisheries institutes.
Though this application will act as a open source publication of various MCQs and Objective type questions in future all students pursuing graduate and post graduation in fisheries science; Professors; Scientist are requested to send their valuable keys and ideas for last domain Fisheries Updates.
SuRA (in Tamil) - Literally means Sharks; A fish for fisheries; In order to enhance the awareness among the students, researchers, Professors, Eminent scientist and other conservationists to conduct more research studies on Elasmobranchii and endangered marine animals the App was named as SuRA - The Voice of Sharks
Note: The preparation is an output of BFSC course curriculum and the materials collected and presented are sourced from open access and are duly acknowledged.
