About this app

The Bureau of Philippine Standards under the Department of Trade and Industry is the National Standards Body of the Philippines as mandated by Republic Act 4109 also known as the Standardization Law of the Philippines. BPS is mandated to develop, promulgate, implement and coordinate standardization activities in the Philippines.

BPS is implementing a mandatory product certification of various building & construction, electrical & electronic, chemical and consumer products under its Product Certification Mark Scheme. Products under the mandatory certification of BPS cannot be sold or distributed in the Philippine market without the necessary PSq Certification Mark License or Import Commodity Clearance.

The objective for this system is to ensure that importers will have the knowledge on the requirements and the processes involve of PS Mark Scheme and Import Commodity Clearance.

Through the Product Certification Scheme, BPS is able to raise the quality and global competitiveness of Philippine products, foster consumer and environmental protection and instill standards, safety and quality consciousness among the Filipino people.
