Awesome notes app, been using it for a few years as I find the tagging feature great. I did recently discover something that should have been obvious to me and that was backups. I'd gotten so used to Google Notes etc where everything is automatically saved to a cloud. I realized this the hard way when I reset my phone and forgot to make a Unotes backup. As you can guess, I lost a few years worth of notes. I'm not sure why it never occured to me...but can we get a nonlocal backup option please?

upd (2022-08-31). "> I lost a few years worth of notes" Sorry, that was hard to read.. 😬. Non-local synchronization is planned feature, but not anytime soon. Right now I recommend to use third-party app. For instance, there are FolderSync to sync folder via cloud and Syncthing for decentralized synchronization.

I really like this app but there's a lot of room for improvement! I have been looking for an app with tags for a long time. That said, to me the colors are just... Hideous! They repeat too often, don't contrast enough and the color "options" are very limited. You can't move a note to a different feed. And I'm still not sure what half of the icons do... 3 out of 5 until some improvements are made.
Thank you for feedback! If presented color schemes (including contrast) are hideous, then what color scheme would you like? Don't understand about repetitions.// To "move" note N from feed A to feed B, add tags of B and remove tags of A from N. This case will be simplified in the future.// Icons (from dashboard?) described in "dashboard settings".

There doesn't seem to be any way to backup notes, it doesn't even just list all notes completely, as far as I can tell and I can't find any documentation. So strange to not have those things in obvious sight. I can't load my old backed up notes either, can I downgrade to the version that allows backups or is there some hidden way to do it? Also, I am SOOO curious as to why you would limit your own app for no reason. I mean, I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Otherwise, I love this app.
Hi! It's sad to hear that you are experiencing such problems.
Of course Unotes supports backup/restore, on all versions: go to "Settings", then "Data", then choose "data folder" and select suitable folder on device. Then "Backup" on old device to save database and "Restore" on new device to load database (backuped and moved to this folder earlier).
