Watch the video. As well as on my device, I had to get the developer options screen ready, but first with the "pair device with pairing code" toggled on in ADB then toggle on the wireless debugging which then allows for the wireless pairing code option to become visible, then you split screen with developer options on top and ADB on bottom with ADB minimized so that it doesn't reset the port number and code every time you try to type in the code in the command line. Great tool.

v4.3.3[SDK36]: now paywalled crippled-ware. too many features redesignated "pro." too many ads intrusuvely jumping up & spawning new [cr]app instances! ADB TV remote paywalled on FireOS 7.7.0.4.

only two small issues. one you need to know the port number. For example, if you're connecting to fireOS, the default ADB port is 5555. The second issue is the ad that pops up is a little bit difficult to skip.
