The mobile application for monitoring livestock markets in Chad is part of the Second Generation Information System (SIM2G) established to modernize the collection and management of commercial and pastoral data. This digital tool aims to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and decision-making in the livestock sector, which is essential to the Chadian economy.

Deployed in the country's main livestock markets, the application allows field agents to capture reliable data in real time on:

Animal prices by species, category, and quality;

Trade volume and market attendance;

Routes taken by transhumant herders and traders;

The state of infrastructure and services available in the markets;

Cross-border movements and trade flows. Connected to a centralized and secure platform, this application feeds the SISG, which produces dashboards, automated analyses, and alerts useful to public decision-makers, industry organizations, technical and financial partners, as well as livestock farmers and traders themselves.

The system enables dynamic visualization of trends, improved regional coordination, and promotes data-driven decision-making. The application operates in offline mode with delayed synchronization, making it suitable for rural areas with poor network coverage.

By integrating the SISG, this innovative solution contributes to smart livestock governance, the development of animal value chains, and greater resilience of pastoral markets in the face of economic, climatic, or health hazards.
