Revised from 2018: The app is better now. I can't give it more than this because of time it took to get it running. Even if it was the samsung, they should have worked on the issue. It was really bad for a couple years on my phone. Previously, it kept crashing. Samsung said it was the app. RPN mode can not multiply or divide. Mostly used for solve with formulas. App is useless. Do not buy! This app used to work great. Reading into the history of the issues, it seems there are a lot of crashes.

Well, Casio's app is subscription, so of course I'll choose hp's app. Less one star because of bad interface. It certainly would do and look better if it didn't emulate the facade of the physical calculator - so much wasted screen space on the phone.

The new release fixed the crashing problem. Application now works as it should and I have not had a crash since the upgrade. For function, I would have rated it 5 stars, but I rated only 4 because I fear another upgrade will break it. It was useless for about 6 months before the recent upgrade. From May 2018: This was a great app until a recent upgrade blew away all my data and programs. New version crashes after being open for about a minute--independent of what is being done-- even if idle. Could not recommend until HP fixes.
