I LOVE, LOVE LOVE The Passion Translation! Footnotes are incredible. BUT I give ONLY 4 stars because once all the current Old Testament books currently translated became available anything that is translated in verse (except Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Songs - i.e. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Abraham's promise in Genesis 12) is MISSING a majority of each verse! If a verse contains 4 - 6 lines, only the first line is given!!! Very frustrating. Otherwise 5 stars.

I have owned multiple copies of Victor Alexander's NT and study it well. I emphatically do not recommend "PassionTM" mutation of this sacred text. PassionTM simply does not capture the depth and intricacy of V.A. material. Do yourself the correct service and just order a copy of the real thing.
